In the User and Services Configuration form, you can copy most of the details from an existing phone service record to create a new user and/or phone service with a similar profile. The Copy functionality copies data from the selected record, except for the following fields, which are cleared:
First Name
Las Name
Number
Directory Name
NOTES
If the copied phone had an embedded Voicemail, then the new phone service will also have it, but the Voicemail fields will not be copied; instead, they will be filled with the default values. Also, the Keys will not be copied - the new service will have the default key values.
If the copied phone had any associated MiCollab service, the new phone will not have them -- only the user's and phone's data is copied.
To create a copy of an existing user's configuration data
Access the User and Services Configuration form.
In the Search Results tree, right-click on the phone service that you want to copy or click the down arrow beside it.
From the drop-down list, select Copy Phone.
A new item, labeled "Copy of <label of the copied phone service>" appears at the top of the Search Results tree. The item is auto-selected, while all the other items are disabled. Detail forms are displayed in the right panel with the following fields cleared:
Last Name
First Name
Number
Directory Name
Enter the new user's and/or service's information.
NOTE: If the First Name and Last Name fields are left blank and the Number field is configured, a new phone service will be created without a user. Similarly, if those two fields are configured, but the Number is left blank, then a new user will be created without a service. If all these fields are configured, then a new user and a new phone service is created and associated with each other.
Click Save Changes. Click Cancel at any time before saving to abort the operation.
